STOCKHOLM (AP) — Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz AB on Wednesday unveiled the name of its next designer collection team-up: British accessory brand Jimmy Choo.

H&M said the famed shoemaker — one of the favorite pump labels of “Sex & the City” character “Carrie” — will launch the collection in 200 H&M stores on Nov. 14, including covetable shoes and bags as well as a women’s clothing line to match them.

Jimmy Choo will also provide a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories.

“We adore Jimmy Choo’s shoes and bags,” H&M’s Creative Designer Margareta van den Bosch said in a statement, adding it was the first time the company collaborated with an accessory brand. “I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around,” she said.

Jimmy Choo founder and President Tamara Mellon vowed that her brand would bring H&M “a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection.”

“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far,” she said.

According to Stockholm-based H&M, Jimmy Choo — which was founded in 1996 — has been worn by Hollywood celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry and Hilary Swank.

H&M has previously collaborated with both pop icons and designers including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Viktor & Rolf.

U Likey or U Hatey?

hammer

Everybody is rockin’ harem pants these days! It just seems like everywhere I look from the runways to the streets these are the hot new thing.  I remember how hot they were when MC Hammer was floating across my video channel wearing these same pants. Now models and actresses have jumped on the bandwagon and are wearing these pants to casual events as well as formal shindigs.  Supposedly the resurgence of this look was brought on by the pants being worn by a very chic French editor and fashion designers took the idea and ran with it.

“Fashion designers see someone like her and think they look cool,” says Amy Astley, editor in chief of Teen Vogue. “Trends by their very nature aren’t for everyone, but everyone likes to try them.”

I totally agree with that statement, everybody can’t wear everything but you make the decision.  Harem pants… U likey or  U hatey????

Miss Honey of The Week

Miss Honeys are everywhere.  A Miss Honey is that person at the mall, the club or even the grocery store that just makes you look twice.  They are doing their thing and could care less what you think about it. They offer us fashion tips, makeup advice and sometimes even counsel us on our relationships.  And let’s be honest they do provide us with some comic relief too. They’re fly, fabulous and fierce.

This week’s Miss Honey is none other than The Louis Vuitton Don himself, Kanye West. He hails from the great city of Chicago and is a musical genius.  He’s a multi-platinum artist, has written and/or produced songs for various artists and has now debuted his very own line of sneakers for Louis Vuitton as well as Nike.  He’s livin’ the good life and loving it.  Listen to him discuss who inspires his style in the video below:

Ch-ch-ch-chia

We all remember Chia pets right?  Those horrid little clay-like animals that grew nasty green foliage that was supposed to resemble fur after adding water. They’ve always creeped me out and now the company just went and did something worse. Look at this hot mess!

AND they have the nerve to have TWO poses!!! Of allllll the facial expressions in the world to choose from, who decided to go with “Happy and Determined?” What the hell is “Happy Chia Obama” smiling about anyway? This is some disrepectful crap. The man is the Leader of the Free World and we make a Chia Pet out of him.  Hm…Hm..Hm.  The First Lady already had to pump the brakes on the production of Sasha and Malia beanie babies.

Although these dolls are cute, you just can’t go around selling anything you want and attaching the Obama name to it. That goes for all y’all who sold all those bootleg shirts too!! I can’t lie some of those shirts were hot though…and I might have copped a few. BUT Chia Obama is wayyyy too far. What’s next? Michelle  O’Barbie??????

*Editor’s update: After various Walgreens locations refused to stock Chia Obama, the makers have decided to pull the product from all Walgreens stores. Hopefully, they’ll just stop making this atrocity, period.

What’s up with that Nuvo?

nuvoYou’ve heard mention of it in song lyrics from T-Pain to Fabolous. Maybe you’ve seen the ultra-chic bottle being clutched by your favorite artist in a recent music video. So, what is that pretty pink drink? It’s Nuvo L’Espirit De Paris, the world’s first sparkling liqueur.  Created by Raphael Yakoby,  the same genius that brought us Hpnotiq, Nuvo is elegant, classy and refreshing.  The combination of ultra-premium French vodka, coupled with a dash of sparkling French wine and natural fruit juices makes this a drink to remember.  This sheer pink ambrosia is housed in a gorgeous glass container inspired by designer perfume bottles.  Nuvo looks beautiful, tastes great and is the must-have accessory for anyone living the glam life.  To top it all off, a portion of all proceeds is donated to breast cancer research.  So, the next time that you’re out toasting the good life, grab a bottle of Nuvo.  Hey, if you overindulge…you can always blame it on the alcohol.

Drink Pink!!
